This Fall, we will again host our 5th Quarter after every home game. It is a pleasure to provide something fun and safe for our Van Buren Jr. High and High School students to do after the home games. After meeting with representatives from the school and from our area churches, we came up with a great schedule for this season. You can help out by spreading the word and encouraging youth to attend. There will also be sign up sheets if you are able to bring in food for the events. Each event begins immediately after the home game and will go until 11pm.
The first event held on Sept 2 was a big success with a 60′ Obstacle Course taking over the church yard for the students to enjoy. There was a Tailgate Party held before the second home game on September 16th with a Game Night themed 5th Quarter held after the game. A Praise Band competition along with beach volleyball and cornhole were among some of the games. Both events were attended by approximately 30-40 students who all had a fun time playing the games, sitting by the fire and of course, munching on the food.
